♥ Kimmie Carter has come a long way and it’s finally Launch Day ♥
It feels like it was just yesterday that I told my friends about my new business plan, and here I am starting the first step in making the Kimmie Carter jewelry and apparel line into something great!
The whole idea was created not even a year ago. I started designing last summer, going to trade shows, getting samples made, and in all areas pretty much going full speed. Then in December, after getting my first samples made, I found out my husband and I were going to have our first child. (Our Baby Carter is due on August 5th, 2013 ♥.) Then came the nightmare that was my morning sickness!!! I couldn’t do anything for a few months! I was so excited to get back to work in March, and since then I’ve been working so hard to make the KC online store launch today!
It was simply mind blowing to see my designs come to life. When I first received my original samples, it felt so unreal and I couldn’t believe I had created something so awesome. I did, however, have a lot more work to do to make sure everything would be ready. I’ve been working so hard and have enjoyed every second of it because I love what I do! I do everything myself from product design to web design and everything in between; photo shoots (models and products), promo materials, marketing plans, you name it, I did it all. I just love wearing many different hats. ♥ Although I’ve faced some challenges along the way, I was able to make it through with the support of my loved ones. Thank you so much for supporting me and believing in me everyone! ♥ And special thanks to my sweetest hubby, Matt. ♥ I wouldn’t have been able to make it this far without you!! I am the luckiest girl on earth. ♥
As happy as I am to be in the beginning stages of the KC success story, I am even more excited to see how far Kimmie Carter, both the person and the store, can go!!
